Quality Wagyu
All of our Wagyu are registered and fully traceable. To maintain the integrity of our bloodlines, we use embryo transfer (ET) and artificial insemination (AI), working with both recipient cows and Wagyu dams.
We currently raise Fullblood Wagyu - 100% pure Japanese bloodlines. Looking ahead, we are considering a transition to naturally hornless Purebred Wagyu, as part of our commitment to continuous improvement in animal welfare.
Real Wagyu from real care
There are no shortcuts when it comes to caring for animals. Managing the health of our cattle is our top priority in our work. - We are committed to remaining free from Hormonal Growth Promotants (HGP)
- Our herd is and will remain GMO-free
- Our farm is Vibriosis and Pestivirus free and we actively work to maintain this

Why Us?
We take care to ensure our pratices are transparent and that our cattle are fully traceable.
Why traceability matters
In Australia, the term “Wagyu” has been used as a blanket term across all grades of what is considered Wagyu beef. With F1 crossbreeds being the most widely available throughout supermarkets, this can feel misleading where F1 only signifies around 50% true Japanese Wagyu origin.
Labels such as “Pure” can also lead to further confusion where this does not necessarily mean Fullblood or Purebred Wagyu, correlating to 100% and ≥93.75% respectively. And it’s not just about the marbling; the difference lies in the deep richness and quality of the meat itself. Because experiencing authentic Japanese Wagyu isn’t just about the label. It is about understanding what that means and sourcing truly traceable, high quality Japanese Wagyu.
At Lost World Wagyu, our cattle are fully traceable and 100% Fullblood Wagyu because we know that the real thing is unmatched.
